468. Nutella Oreo Cheesecake Parfaits

Here is the truth right from the beginning: this dessert looks better than it tastes.
That's not to say it isn't good. It is, but just not as good as you would imagine by looking at it.
It looks like it's a classy and elegant dessert for grown-ups.
In reality, it's a sugar bomb favored by kids.

Imagine an oreo cookie, slathered in nutella... this is it. Wolf wearing sheep's clothing, and all that.
So, if you want to indulge kids, or that inner kid, this is a likely dessert.
I followed the instructions of the recipe I got from here, but next time I make this, I will be layering the cookie crumbs and nutella cheese instead of a "crust" and a "filling." This is because the oreo layer got unpleasantly hard after refrigeration, and tainted the eating experience.

Ingredients:

20 oreo cookies
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup cream cheese
2/3 cup whipping cream
1 cup nutella

Method:

Crush the oreos in a food processor, then pour in melted butter and mix well.
Put a couple of tablespoons into each of six glasses and pat down. .
Whisk your cream until it forms light peaks.
In a separate bowl beat together nutella and cream cheese until smooth and even.
Now beat in the whipped cream.
Spoon the filling over the oreo crust.
Refrigerate for at least 3hours, or overnight.
Voila!
